‘The Recess’ vies at Green Bay filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘The Recess’ is vying at the Green Bay Film Festival in the US. 

Written, produced and directed by Navid Nikkhah-Azad, the film is representing Iran at this year’s edition of the event.

‘The Recess’ is a 12-minute film that tells the story of a 17-year-old school-girl who runs away from school to watch the football match of her favorite club.

The short flick’s cast list includes Mojan Kordi, Reyhaneh Nabeean, Niloufar Shokouhinia, and Ghazal Khalili.

‘The Recess’ has participated in more than 75 international festivals, including the Visioni Corte International Film Festival in Italy, the Sanfrancisco Frozan Film Festival in the US, the Johns Hopkins Film Festival in the US, the River International Film Festival in Italy, and the Vox Feminae Festival in Croatia.

The Green Bay Film Festival includes “Films Around Town” with Independent films being shown at multiple locations. 

Showing many genres of films, this festival also includes talk backs, seminars, awards and parties, all in typical Midwest fashion.

The 12th edition of the event kicked off on March 6, 2022.
